Time for Sacrifice: Backerkit Ready! Are You?
over 4 years ago – Sun, Jun 21, 2020 at 01:30:17 AM

We finished up Backerkit and are now just waiting for them to approve it and we will begin the smoke test.

I expect this to happen Sunday or Monday.  Please get these done as quickly as possible.

Shipping to the EU was more than I was hoping for, but Gamequest is throwing a $5 fee for every kg the package is.  So while your packages will be tracked, they shouldn't have any VAT fees, they will only cost a few dollars less than shipped from the US.

Meanwhile, we are working hard on the Prop Sets, as they will be the most difficult parts to get completed. Glad we limited it to 100. Even that will be difficult.

I will post again once we launch Backerkit!!  Until then, stay sane. -- Ben

Time for Sacrifice: Prop Set
over 4 years ago – Mon, Jun 15, 2020 at 12:18:52 AM

We've been working hard on getting all the props for the prop kit ready for full scale production. We will be producing a full 100 sets. With 88 already sold, we will be putting 12 up for sale during the Backerkit campaign.  We have a ton of handouts for the 5 adventures, and so we had to think outside the box, and we think you'll be very happy with what we have come up with.

First surprise will be the leather journal cover. 3 of the adventures have journals in them. You'll receive the cover that allows you to slip one journal out, and slip in the one for that adventure and you are ready to go. Add in the letters, newspaper articles, telegrams, photographs, a medallion and more.  We hope you really enjoy this.

In addition, the art books have been completed and ordered, as well as the map sets. Good news about the books, the printers expect them to be completed before the end of the month!

We hope you like what you see.  -- Ben

Time For Sacrifice: Printing Moving Along
over 4 years ago – Mon, Jun 08, 2020 at 08:47:09 PM

This weekend I ran Doorway of the Gods at North Texas RPG Con and we had a fantastic time. I was running it off the final PDF and found a couple minor typos. Contacted the printer to see if they had started printing or not. Found out they have already printed all the books and are starting the binding process.  Things are moving really fast now and we may get this out pretty quick.  So bad news the 2 typos will be in the book, but not in the PDF you get.

We will be finishing the Backerkit surveys this week (with any luck) and you will be getting those soon. Please respond as quick as possible. Especially if you are overseas. That way we can get your books to our distributors.

I also wanted to tell you about our current Kickstarter. It is a great fun little board game called Ultimate Dinosaur Fighting. We are 80% funded currently and if you like Dinosaurs and tactical battle games, you will love this.

Only 3 days left on our Kickstarter for this great fun game.

Time For Sacrifice: Off To The PRINTERS!!
over 4 years ago – Fri, May 29, 2020 at 11:44:21 PM

We are really excited that all final approvals were given and the electronic files were off to the printers.

We will be loading up the files to DTRPG Con soon and setting up Backerkit. As soon as you answer your survey you will be able to get your copy of the PDF.

Thank you so much for all your patience. I know we are running about 6 weeks late because of the Covid-19 issue, but we are done now and we should be getting these back in July to be shipped out.

We will let you know as soon as we have the Backerkit surveys ready.

Time for Sacrifice: LAYOUT IS COMPLETE!!!
over 4 years ago – Sun, May 10, 2020 at 02:21:18 PM

We are so excited that today we put our heads down and pushed things to completion!!!  The 1st pass layout is done, all 172 pages.  So what does that mean.  All writing, editing, art and layout are done!!  So what is left you might ask??

Now we have to send the final product to Chaosium to get their blessing and change up anything they feel is necessary.  Make sure we aren't stepping on any copyright toes, etc...  Mainly they make sure we stick with the 7E rules.

During this time we will go through and make minor tweaks here and there to make it look better, and we want 3-4 volunteers to give it a good once over looking for mistakes, grammar, spelling, historical inaccuracies, something that just doesn't look right, etc...

We would need this done in the next week.  So if you are home in quarantine and have time and desire to do so, please let me know, and what you bring to the table. I'll pick 3-4 and send you the link to download it from dropbox.  Then in the next week, we will make any changes we like from you, plus what we have to change for Chaosium, then off to the printers it goes!!

Thank you so much for being patient on this project. The Covid-19 really threw a wrench in a couple of our team's plans and things got held up by about 6 weeks. But with luck we will have the copies in hand by the end of June and going out the door.

Once I send it to the printer, we will be putting together one of the handout boxes to get an accurate weight on them, and then we will send out the Backerkit surveys.

Until next time, Stay Sane Inside Insanity,  Ben
